This is a painting that I made in my sketchbook just for fun. It was inspired by romantic scenes in the movies, where the background music always swells in the lead-up to the big romantic moment.

As a music lover, and a bit of a romantic, I asked myself, what would it look like if the love story was happening on the sheet music? And then I painted this piece.

Typically, people think of the colors purple and blue when it comes to music, so I made the two music notes purple and blue so that we can differentiate the two. That also gave me the opportunity to play with making a purple-blue gradient on the last music notation, where the two eighth notes are beaming together.
